Tournament 2008

Hey everyone,

It's time for our Annual Tournament! Yes you heard right. Students Playing Go is proud to present our 2008 tournament with prizes, excitement, fun, glory and food galore!

It's held this coming easter week so hurry up and prepare!

Date: 26th March Wednesday
Time: 10a.m-5p.m
Where: Alice Hoy room 108 (go down the stairs! on the side of Monash road)

Pre registration is highly encouraged- please email your name, rank and contact details to mail@spgo.org.au or register at a club meeting.
If you're unsure of your rank, please talk to a committee member.

This year we have three divisions:-
Beginners- 25-30k
Amateur- 24-12k
Normal- 11k-dan

Don't be scared by the rankings and divisions, we're here to have fun and to test our skills. There are great prizes available so make sure to register early! Lunch is also provided.

The main tournament uses the 19x19 boards as well as 13x13 (option for beginners) and we also have a special blitz 9x9 tournament on the side (which is open to all ranks, winner takes all!)

Be sure to also catch a glimpse of our resident Sai-sama who'll be there to provide support and fighting spirit! Get your cameras ready =)

Last year's tournament was a success and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. So come along and participate. Our SPGO tournament is also a great stepping stone for you to test your skills for the upcoming NEC tournament.

Cheers and see you all there!
