New Committee 2008-2009

Hey everyone,
Thank you so much for coming to the AGM and voting for your new committee members for Students Playing Go.
We are glad to welcome these dedicated members to their new roles and wish them all the success, and we look forward to another great year of GO!

We extend our thanks to our ex President Trithang for doing a wonderful job and bringing in all the new events for the past year. He'll be fulfilling a new role as tournament director.
Thank you to all the previous committee members; Anna, Jonathan, Sining and Michelle.

To let everyone know, we'll be having our last meeting for this semester on Friday 30th June 2008, and we'll be back again next semester, details about room and dates will be posted during the holidays. Good luck with all your exams! We hope to see you again next semester.

Annual General Meeting

Hey everyone,
Students Playing Go invites you to our AGM this coming Friday 23rd May. Come get involved and support your friendly neighborhood go club. It's completely free and there will be drinks and food provided.

During AGM you get to know what has been happening with the Go Club, what will be happening next year and meet some new people and play go games too. Be sure to turn up to have a say in changes, events and how you'd like the club to be runned.

All committee positions are opened. You are free to nominate yourself or a friend for the following:-

Secretary
Treasurer

Publicity Director
Tournament Director
General Representative

If you'd like to know more about these positions, send us an email or approach the current committee members.

So come along, have some fun and help us out. We need atleast 20 members present for the AGM to take place.

Games Night

Hey everyone!
Games Night is here!
Hosted by Students Playing Go, Games Night will be filled with, you guessed it! GAMES!

You'll have the chance to play a variety of board games including your ever favourite Go along with chess, mahjong, shogi, and lots more! So come along and bring your friends, it's completely free!
Meet new people, have a good time before exams roll around, learn a new game or two.
