2nd Aussie Go Tournament

The 2nd Golden Aussie Go Tournament is on in May. This is a fantastic opportunity for players of all ranks to play Go in a competitive setting and meet Go players outside the club.

When: 14th -15th May 2011, 8am- 6.30pm

Where: Hays International College, 15 Hay St. BoxHill South

The Tournament is sponsored by "Only Choice Properties Pty Ltd" and is being hosted by the Victorian Go Club. The tournament Referee will be An Young Gil, an 8 dan professional and the Tournament Director is James Kaaden.

The tournament will have two divisions:

1st Division: an open competition with no handicap for players 5 dan and above.

2nd Division: Handicap competition and open to players who are beginners and up to and including those ranked 4dan.

Lunch and drink will be provided for players on both days. Trophy and cash prize will be award for winners in each division.

1st place: $400

2nd place: $200

3rd place: $100

"Fight spirit" and "encouragement" prizes will also be award to certain players while all players who register before 6th of May 2011 will receive a small memorable gift :D

The entry fee for adults is $40 while the fee for students is $20.
